Avocado butter contains plenty of healthy fatty acids like linoleic acid and oleic acid, as well as a substantial amount of natural vitamins. Its high palmitic acid content makes avocado butter easily absorbed by the skin, keeping it smooth and firm. A little bit goes a long way! Avocado butter’s high proportion of mono-saturated fats provide a protective layer over the skin, functioning as a 100% pure & natural sunscreen (~ SPF 15).
Though avocado butter offers natural sun protection, we still recommend wearing your favorite non-toxic & reef-friendly sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure, especially if you’re going to be out for a long period of time. In addition to reaping the extra sun protection benefits of our whipped body butter, you can count on it to help promote the production of collagen and protect your body against fine lines & wrinkles. For optimal absorption, the body butter should be applied right after a warm shower as it helps the skin to retain moisture.
We recommend applying our whipped body butter at least twice a day – once in the morning before you get the day started, and once at night as your skin enters its rejuvenation period. Mid-day pool sesh? Moisturizing as soon as possible afterwards is key to avoiding the much dreaded flakes & scales, and maintaining healthy, happy skin.
